Juvenile Arrested, Charged with Homicide in Houston County
ERIN– An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the arrest of a juvenile in connection to a homicide that occurred Monday night.
On Tuesday, at the request of 23rd Judicial District Attorney General Ray Crouch, TBI agents began investigating a deadly shooting that occurred in the 2000 block of Clay Tomlinson Road in Erin. Preliminary information suggests that a juvenile became involved in an altercation with 22-year-old Ezekiel Ochoa. For reasons still under investigation, the situation escalated, and agents collected evidence suggesting the juvenile shot and killed Ochoa.
Agents took out a juvenile petition for one count of Criminal Homicide. The juvenile is being held in juvenile detention pending a hearing.
The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct, not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
